My name is Mary Prather. I am a wife, mother, educator, blogger, curriculum author, and speaker.
I have 23 years experience in the education arena. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision. My roles have included Elementary Music Specialist, Private Piano Teacher, Homeschooling Mom, and Curriculum Developer.
All of my experiences to this point have uniquely equipped me as a homeschooling parent. It is a blessing to be able to write about our journey and encourage others to adopt this wonderful lifestyle.
We homeschool Classically (although if you read through my site you'll see we've schooled in many ways during our homeschooling tenure).
I am also the author of a music appreciation curriculum for children. SQUILT (Super Quiet UnInterrupted Listening Time) is designed to make bringing quality music into your homeschool or classroom easy, affordable, and enjoyable.
Blogging has allowed me to share our homeschooling journey and have spectacular opportunities, like delivering shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child - an organization that is near and dear to me.
