Homegrown Learners was the seed we planted in 2009 - a blog where a new homeschool mom could share her ideas and not feel so alone as she embarked upon a new endeavor.
Over time it became apparent that a few areas of interest/expertise were coming into focus:

Music Appreciation
As the Homegrown Learners seed grew, a new branch was created. After sharing music appreciation lessons online, we saw the need for quality lessons for homeschool families. In 2014 SQUILT Music Appreciation was born, offering downloadable PDF resources.
Then, after offering LIVE! music appreciation classes on several occasions, there was a demand for MORE. SQUILT LIVE!, our online music appreciation membership was launched in 2017 - another branch on the tree!
*In 2020 our workload required Mary’s husband, Hal, to step away from his professional job and join the family business! With another full-time gardener, a new project came to fruition.
Your Profit Pro
2023 brings ANOTHER branch to our tree!
With his background in nonprofit credit counseling, passion for financial education, and helping homeschooling families (and ANYONE who wants assistance!) succeed, Hal became a certified You Need a Budget (YNAB) coach and began Your Profit Pro, where he coaches people on the fundamentals of personal finance and budgeting, optimizes small business processes, or keeps your books!
